Bruka of Sweden × Adcropper · Case study

From Shopify to Creative Scale

Connecting Bruka of Sweden's Shopify commerce data with Adcropper to turn product information into faster, reusable and channel ready creative production.

At a glance

Bruka of Sweden manages an evolving ecommerce assortment with product launches, collections, seasonal campaigns and promotional activity. The Shopify integration connected structured product data directly to Adcropper so creative teams could build campaign assets from a consistent source, generate channel variations faster and keep commercial information aligned with the storefront.

The challenge

Commerce data and creative production were moving at different speeds.

Product titles, imagery, variants, prices and promotional details already lived in Shopify, while campaign creatives were produced in a separate workflow. Every new collection, offer or format introduced repeated copy-paste work and additional checks. As the number of products and placements increased, keeping every asset accurate and visually consistent became harder to manage manually.

Catalog changes

Products, images, prices and variants change continuously as the ecommerce assortment evolves.

Creative repetition

The same product information is repeatedly rebuilt across paid social, display, CRM and campaign formats.

Accuracy & consistency

Creative teams need the latest product data without losing control of layout, art direction or brand rules.

The solution

Connect the Shopify product layer directly to creative production.

Adcropper was integrated with Shopify so selected products, collections and commercial fields could flow into controlled creative templates. The team could use live commerce data as the content source while Adcropper handled design rules, adaptation, review and multi format output.

Shopify integration scope

The integration created a structured bridge between Shopify product data and Adcropper creative templates, including catalog mapping, product media, promotion logic, synchronization and quality control.

1. Shopify catalog connection

Connect the Shopify store to Adcropper through authenticated API access. Product IDs, handles, titles, descriptions, status, collections, variants and other agreed commerce fields become available to the creative workflow.

2. Product data mapping

Map Shopify fields to reusable Adcropper content fields. Product name, price, compare-at price, variant, CTA destination, locale and merchandising labels can be bound to the corresponding elements inside a template.

3. Product media handling

Bring primary product imagery and selected media references into the creative layer. Image rules define which Shopify asset is used, while Adcropper controls cropping, placement, safe areas and visual composition for each format.

4. Promotion & pricing logic

Use structured rules for standard price, sale price, compare-at price and promotional messaging. Templates can conditionally show or hide promotional elements so the layout remains clean when an offer is not active.

5. Product & collection selection

Allow teams to build campaigns from individual products or Shopify collections. A seasonal collection can be selected once and then transformed into multiple product creatives without manually rebuilding each asset.

6. Synchronization & governance

Keep the connection reliable through scheduled syncs and event driven updates where appropriate. Product IDs, version states and update logs preserve traceability while validation prevents incomplete data from entering production.

Typical technical touchpoints: Authentication: secured Shopify API credentials and scoped access. Sync model: scheduled catalog sync with webhook driven updates for relevant changes. Rate limits: batching and retry logic for catalog operations. Locales: mapped language and market fields where required. Image delivery: source URLs with Adcropper side crop and format rules. Monitoring: logging for successful and failed data updates.

What the connected workflow improved?

The Shopify to Adcropper workflow turned product data into a reusable creative input, reducing repetitive production work while giving teams tighter control over accuracy, consistency and campaign speed.

Less manual data entry

Product names, prices, images and other commerce fields no longer need to be copied manually into every new creative variation.

Faster campaign launches

Collections and promotional groups can move from Shopify into production templates quickly, shortening the path from merchandising decision to campaign ready asset.

More accurate product content

Creatives use a structured source for product information, reducing the chance of outdated pricing, mismatched imagery or inconsistent product naming.

Consistent brand execution

Reusable templates preserve layout rules, typography and design hierarchy while still allowing campaign specific art direction where needed.

Higher creative reuse

One master can support many products, placements and sizes, making it easier to reuse approved structures instead of rebuilding campaigns from zero.

Scalable channel production

The same commerce driven workflow can support paid social, display, CRM and other campaign outputs from a shared creative system.
